A few days before Thanksgiving, my brother-in-law told us he had tested positive for COVID. His family had seen him go through the pain and agony of the virus. A week after, the whole family started experiencing the first symptoms of the sickness. Fever, aches, muscle cramming, shivers, throat sore, and shortness of breath among other effects of COVID-19. Within seven days, our parents were hospitalized. It has been 14 days since the first symptoms started and it seems like an eternity. In the last four years, Gael has had five cats and he has learned different aspects of how to take care of them, from feeding them, to bathing them, and to respect them.
